It takes a village.
Steve "Lucky" Knox
Cinematographer/Editor/Director
Steve has been working subconsciously on this project since he was just a little boy. Born to a mother who struggles with mental illness and a father that died young from a brain tumor, he was told at a young age that he had Wiyot blood in him from his father's side and seemingly gravitated towards this identity in many ways. He did many research projects on the Wiyots growing up in school and has continued his investigations to present day.
Steve grew up fascinated by cameras but was more impressed with their ability to tell a story visually. His oldest daughter was the catalyst to enter into the digital revolution when she entered a freshman digital photo class. His cousin "Plaximus" works in the big boy world of cinema in LA and is Steve's guru of all things camera related. Plaximus introduced the video side of digital photography to Steve and had him assist in a video production for a model of Maxim Magazine's. Steve knew this was the arena he wanted to work in.
Steve founded LuckyKnox productions and OnceinalifetimeFILMS and works in a number of arenas in video and cinematography. Steve produces and directs local tv commercial spots, internet add campaigns, private wedding films, documentary films, large concert video production, and has worked on full feature sets as well. Steve has even had the opportunity to work on the other side of the camera recently with actors James Remar and Lea Thompson (thanks GH!) Steve recently was the DP for a Country Music Recording Artist that had the famous Robert Scoble on set shooting behind the scenes videos. See Steve in action HERE!

Josué Rivas
Josué Rivas Fotographer
Josué possesses a passion that truly is a gift. A seasoned photographer that's always on the move, and always in the right direction. His ability to tell the dramatic story, through a photograph, is as admirable as it is inspirational. He has been in association with many aspects of life and has provided images to The New York Times, The Washington Post, VICE and Billboard to name a few. His images are composed to flare the dramatic and yet, respect the spirit. Being an indigenous person himself, we would not want anyone else to be the official photographer for this project and film. His images will respectively portray the honest truth of the Wiyot people.

Dan is an exemplary man of the outdoors and an astute student of nature. He's a gift to our future generations as he is also a teacher and molder of young minds. Shamrock Gregory
Our Shamita Bonita
Equine Services Manager
You are lucky if you know this lady. Believe us. She is one of the most compassionate people one could ever find. She's been inner circle for basically....ever.
A true pro in her craft, which is hard to label. Some say trainer, we say life connection specialist. She trains/instructs and oversees all horse functions as Barn Manager at Blue Dot Barn nestled in one of the most serene locations in northern CA.
She basically has grown up on a horse, has won many tiles in the barrel racing world, and still has that heart that pulls over to save an injured opossum on the road. She is the founder and owner of the Green Apple Horse Network, a foundation and company helping in "greening" the equine world. She is a natural selection to oversee and manage all equine usage in the making of this film. This girl is Superwoman on horseback, trying to save the world with her powers of education, compassion and healing.
In two words...our team.
